Our History

Peter Davy started Davy Heating 1979 and was soon Joined by his Father Albert and Brother Steven and Brother in law Shane. The majority of family left around 2000 Shane since has, been installing fires and serving fireplaces0 in Brisbane. Peter after 45 years(2024) has now retired and Karan now looks after Wellington through to Horowhenua and Rakesh The Wairarapa through to Palmerston North.

The Clubb Hotel

Peter and his wife Susan bought the Clubb Hotel in Carterton after a fire in 2009. The hotel has a long history, having been built in 1888. It was previously damaged in a fire in 1900.

Peter has been working to restore the hotel and will soon reopen, offering rooms on a bed and breakfast basis. Earnings from Davy Heating fund the work being done to restore the hotel.
